Thank you to all the families who joined us for our OLM Open Day, it was such a joy to welcome you into our school!

We loved seeing our classrooms buzzing, meeting so many new faces, and watching families explore what life at OLM is all about. Nights like this remind us how special it is to be part of such a warm and connected community.

Our Lady Star of the Sea in Miranda held a Mass this morning for the World Day of Prayer. While the Mass centred on prayer for peace around the world, a particular focus was given to the persecution of Christians in Nigeria. Leaders from Our Lady of Mercy College attended this event and contributed by reading the Prayers of the Faithful. These young women represented the College with pride, and their dedication to our school and what we stand for as people of mercy has shone through. Let us all send our prayers to God for this day of prayer.

Yesterday our staff and students eagerly welcomed girls and their parents to our 2026 Open Day.

Over 600 visitors enjoyed the OLM hospitality and explored the College’s various specialist learning environments, listened to our Principal address the community and met our dedicated staff. They discovered what makes OLM such a special and vibrant community.

Our Visual Arts students from Years 9, 10, 11, and 12 today embarked on an enriching excursion to the Hazelhurst Arts Centre to view the prestigious ARTEXPRESS 2026 exhibition.

This annual showcase features a curated selection of outstanding HSC Body of Work submissions from the previous year’s Visual Arts cohort across New South Wales.

Congratulations to the students from our school who represented their Surf Clubs at the recent NSW Surf Lifesaving State Age and Open Championships. We had some outstanding results from our students. 🥇🥇🥈🥈🥈🥈🥉🥉🥉🥉

Many of our students made finals and finished in top 6 places earning points for their club.
Congratulations to our students who represented Wanda SLSC. Wanda was crowned State Pointscore Champions for both Age and Open Championships.

Our Marine Studies students took action at Cronulla Beach for @CleanUpAustralia 🌊♻️

A hands-on start to @SeaWeekAustralia, with students investigating the long life and lasting impact of plastics and microplastics in our oceans. Small actions, big difference for our marine environments. 💙🌏
