Fairytale chaos came to life at OLM this week.
Congratulations to our talented students who brought the swamp to life in Shrek The Musical JR.
Our amazing students and staff have worked tirelessly - singing, dancing, building sets, making props and creating a wonderful performance together.

Earlier this week our Year 12 Hospitality students were busy serving up a storm at Bocca Bocca Restaurant in Caringbah. A huge thank you to the owner, Sam, for providing such a wonderful opportunity for students from OLM and St Aloysius. This special one-night event gave the next generation of hospitality talent a chance to step into the spotlight. Students put their skills to the test, designing and delivering a complete restaurant experience—from the kitchen to the front of house for an audience of the people who matter most: their families and teachers.
Thank you for a wonderful evening, Halle and Angel

At OLM, our Year 7 program begins without laptops—and the research backs this approach.
A recent review in Frontiers in Cognitive Science (2023) found that digital technology—including laptops, smartphones, and social media—can impair attention, memory, decision‑making, and overall learning ability.
For students transitioning into high school, building strong habits of focus, deep thinking, and independent learning is essential.

By starting Year 7 without devices, we’re helping students:
✨ Strengthen concentration
📚 Develop solid reading and writing foundations
🤝 Build real‑world social connections
🧠 Learn without digital distraction

Less screen time. More meaningful learning.
That’s the OLM way.

Commerce - Market

Market Day is always one of the highlights of the calendar, and this year’s was no exception. The Stage 5 Commerce students put together a fantastic range of stalls, with plenty on offer for the steady stream of customers who came through.

An enormous amount of work went in beforehand with the girls carefully planning their products, designing their stalls, and working out their budgets and pricing ahead of time. On the day, that preparation really showed, with excellent teamwork and great energy at every stall.

A huge congratulations to all the girls involved, and a big thank you to the OLM and De La Salle communities who came along to support them. It was a wonderful day, and the girls should be very proud of what they achieved.
